I'm blown away by the customer service I received this week after sending an email asking about toddler sized Xtratufs. Sommer C. not only answered my questions about purchasing, but took the extra step to let me know that if I needed a pair sooner than having them shipped in from the Fairbanks location that AIH had them in stock and went as far to call the store suggested and inquire if they also offered curbside service. Honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience and I will now always go out of my way to shop at Big Ray's whenever possible. Outstanding customer service, as always.

Big raise is every male adult play store. It has everything and outdoorsy person could want. They carry a wide range of brands they’re always top quality. The staff is very knowledgeable helpful and friendly. It is high priced but you get the quality.Me and my family get all of our winter gear from big Ray’s they never let us down and it’s always worth it they do have some sales if you’re smart shopper you can get them good it’s worth checking out.

Not only is there a great selection, service cannot be beat. William helped select and then special order my new Kershaw pocket knife. It's a perfect choice. Other employees there have also been extremely friendly and professional. Don't shop anywhere else for your outdoor sporting goods.

Ebony was a great help with finding both my wife and toddler new winter boots. She was extremely nice and brought out plenty of options. The care and time spent for customers definitely makes this place stand out. I’d come here before going to any of the bigger chain outdoor gear shops in town.

I always forget how much cool and useful items Big Rays has until I go in. Better prices on items like Carhartt here than at other stores. The midtown location is nice and expanded, though their glove selection was not good when I went this weekend. Lots of glove and mitten items sold out. My significant other and I went to the downtown location afterwards after a friendly customer service phone call with a Big Rays downtown representative, and found exactly what I was looking for and ended up purchasing another item (fleeced lined Carhartt hat) too. Outside of the shadiness from the Panhandle Bar next door, the downtown location has a great selection of items. Highly recommend this place for outdoor and tough wear gear.

Absolutely wonderful experience. We of course forgot some things at home, and were thankful to find a LOCAL, (not tourist trap or chain) store. Jacket variety, sizing, colors, and pricing were great $50-2,000 depending on your budget and desires. Found Killtec jacket and liner under $200. Binoculars, boots, gloves, hand warmers. Employees were kind, welcoming, talked of loving tourist season, and offered a military discount.

When I discovered the waterproof shoes I brought were in fact, not waterproof, Veronica, was honest and helped me find shoes to keep my feet dry. Excellent customer service and they opened at 9!

We had an amazing experience here, William helped us out and he was able to provide us with all the guidance we needed to aquire the items we were missing for our stay in Anchorage. He was also more than happy to have a chat and share his knowledge of the local area giving us ideas of where we should visit during our stay.
